The View at Glenloch - Home Stay

The living space and view is incredible. Room is spacious and equipped with everything you could need. Food is great. Host was kind, welcoming and generous. The washing machine was broken so he hand washed my laundry for me. Right on the Pekoe Trail so ideal for access to walking trails.

This accommodation was one of the best decisions of our stay in Sri Lanka. The view from the accommodation is fantastic, and the host is a wonderful, broad-minded old man with whom it was a pleasure to spend time and talk. We became richer because of him, as we received a lot of knowledge from him. He helped us get to a waterfall, arranged dinner for us. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He and her brother too. I can only recommend accommodation!!

I had a fantastic stay at the View at Glenloch, my favourite in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect if you are hiking on the Pekoe Trail (just off the end of stage 3). Prosper was an excellent host with great stories and advice. He offered a good cup of tea whenever I wanted one and made me breakfast in the morning. For dinner, he arranged for food to be brought to the house from a local restaurant, excellent fried rice! The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Overall, I couldn't be more happy with my stay. I hope I can return some day.

Located on the Pekoe trail, Close to end of stage 3. Perfect location to stay if someone is planning to do stage 3 and 4 and looking for a place to rest in between. The host is a very kind gentlemen who made us feel like home.

Beautiful sunset view and an extremely friendly host. He was able to help us order in food because we didn’t want to go out after a long day of driving. Everything was lovely and felt like we had a very personal experience. Host was very accomodating with everything we needed and supported us to to our next destination.

Our favorite homestay in Sri Lanka without a doubt. We spent four perfect nights at Prosper’s house, it is clean, well equipped, great breakfasts and dinners, spectacular views and great evening conversations, good starting point for Pekoe Trail Stage 3… but most importantly, amazing people ❤️ we will miss you Prosper, Suba and Blackie!

Prosper was a fantastic host. We are walking, hopefully, all stages of the pekoe trail. This was the perfect place to stop after a hard day. It is simple but perfectly comfortable with a wonderful view. We had several hours of lovely conversation with prosper and the lady who helps him manage the homestay. This is exactly what we wanted from a homestay - enjoyable interaction with a local person.
