The site is good for spending a great weekend time with family. No worries about food. Just backwater, boats sailing around and sound of birds. 😍💐🎉🤗

Roads are under construction.

A little bit of a feeling of beeing on a river boat. Lots of birds around. Close to restaurant serving OK food. Clean room. Breakfast was typical Kerala, we also got toast and jam, they went to the store to buy jam to us! Nice place to sit outside every room under roof. They provided a water heater for us. We also got to use their refrigerator.

Wonderful and friendly family who run it, delicious and generous sized breakfast cooked by Homestay which was prepared slightly different each day, peaceful setting with lovely outdoor balcony to enjoy, nice spot to watch the boats go by (they are the only passing noise in the place), and great boat tours organised by Homestay.

There are limited food options available. Breakfast provided by the Homestay is fantastic, but for other meals you have to get them from elsewhere. There is a restaurant kitchen next door which can make you lunch and dinner (delivered to your balcony!) but the food choices are poor, especially for vegetarians, and the food did not taste very good. On the main road, which is 30 min walk / 10 min cycle / 5 min tuktuk, you can find other restaurants, which we visited for lunch. However, I think this is the price you pay for the tranquility and remoteness. Despite the other reviews, reaching this place by tuktuk was fine from Kottayam train station. Maybe it would be more confusing during night time, but we had no problem.

Excellent location for boating, enjoy the local food and good hospitality and service. The host was very friendly and helpful . Strongly recommend this centrally located place
