Amazing host - Nancy was so friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable with beautiful garden views. Nice bathroom with a good shower. They offer shampoo etc. which was nice. The kitchen was in a good condition and well equipped. Everything was clean. Felt a little like home. Loved the kettle and cups in my room for making tea.

It's a little noisy in the room when people talk in the hallway but not too bad. :)

Awesome property, loved the backyard and everything was amazing and the host.

The Barbeque was very dirty, it needs a deep clean.

Terrible Experience – Highly Not Recommended We had the worst experience during our stay at NZ Country Home in Whangarei. We booked the entire house, expecting privacy and comfort for our family, but what unfolded was completely unacceptable. While we were cooking in the kitchen, the homeowner suddenly entered without any prior notice, which was extremely rude and unsettling. To make matters worse, they started switching off the lights without explanation. This kind of intrusion is entirely inappropriate and violates basic hospitality standards. Later, we discovered that the owner was staying in the garage, which was not disclosed upfront. This raised serious concerns about privacy and security. We reported the incident to Booking.com, as we feel such behavior is a major breach of trust and safety. We strongly advise against booking this property. Save yourself the trouble and find a place that respects its guests' privacy and provides a safe environment.
