Luxury designer period apartment in Old Town by the presidential palace

There was a useable kitchen and the apartment was very nicely furnished.

Nice apartment in a perfect location, just opposite the Presidential gardens. walking distance to Bratislava Old Town and to many shops and restaurants. the apartment is tastefully decorated. air-conditioning in a kitchen/dining area gives a pleasant relief from the summer heat

few small repairs around the apartment (chair legs, towel racks, etc.) would be welcome to offer guests a peace of mind.

everything as we booked, with a compact kitchen, private bathroom and washing machine, great location, bus station in front and on the right side as you leave the building, close to the pharmacy, market and main tourist attractions.

The bathroom lacks a rug to prevent children from slipping. The washing machine smells strongly of cigarettes.

Locația foarte bună, apartamentul frumos, cu mobilier stil vechi, îngrijit și cu bun gust. Proprietara foarte amabilă, deși am ajuns târziu am fost bine primiți, ajutați cu găsirea unui loc de parcarea și a unui restaurant bun în zonă. Zona este una liniștită.

i’m giving this property a 2 as the design of the apartment is very nice and the facilities decent with access to the fridge and kitchen area. HOWEVER, it is not clearly specified that the double room option is shared with another room in the apartment, you get a room not an apartment. i found this out via the reviews and upon taking a closer look it is listed but very discreetly. you are required to put a €150 deposit down. i understand why as it is desirable for the host to keep the apartment in good condition and a deposit ensures this. we did not get our full deposit back. the host claims that if you or the shared guests don’t claim the damage BOTH will be charged. this isn’t listed anywhere and shouldn’t have been upheld. i am in the process of contacting booking.com an other agencies about the hosts behaviour. the host claimed a toilet roll holder was broken, despite us not causing this damage and not knowing it was broken she took our deposit money off of us, stating that since us and the other guests aren’t owning up to the damage we would both be charged. it was also almost £20 each (?!?!) for a toilet roll holder. i wouldn’t book with this host and would advise others not to.
