Luxury designer period apartment in Old Town by the presidential palace

Scam host!! Bij aankomst ontvingen wij geen instructies of toegangscode voor de self check-in. Pas toen we zelf contact opnamen, werd ons meegedeeld dat we de waarborg van €150 vooraf hadden moeten betalen, iets wat op geen enkel moment of op geen enkele zichtbare plaats in het boekingsproces duidelijk werd vermeld. Ik heb meermaals telefonisch geprobeerd contact op te nemen (vijf keer in totaal) met het opgegeven telefoonnummer, maar er werd nooit opgenomen. Toen ik hier via berichtgeving navraag naar deed, werd mij verteld dat dit nummer van de eigenaar was en niet van hen, ondanks dat dit telefoonnummer ook op hun eigen website staat. Er kon ook enkel worden opgenomen op de contacturen volgens hen, die nergens werden vermeld, ook niet als ik erachter vroeg. Daarbij gaf ik expliciet aan dat ik liever telefonisch contact wilde, en vroeg ik meermaals of iemand kon langskomen om ons verder te helpen, aangezien we niet eens het gebouw mochten betreden. Er hing een bord op de deur dat toegang verbood en dat het gebouw niet mocht worden betreden. De verhuurder beweerde dat dit wel een foto was van de voordeur. We hebben ruim een uur op straat gewacht, zonder reactie, zonder hulp, en zonder toegang tot ons geboekte verblijf. Ik heb ook de organisatie achter de booking opgezocht ‘Milk n Honey Homes’ en het bleek om een scam host te gaan!!

TLDR: Super charming and spotless apartment just outside Bratislava’s old town. Lovely roommates and a really helpful host. We had a peaceful stay—only hiccup was our own fault at check-in. We really enjoyed our time here! The place has a great vibe - romantic, peaceful, and it just feels special. Everything was super clean and nicely decorated, and waking up to birds singing in the backyard was such a nice bonus (you can hear them from both the kitchen and bathroom). The roommates were really friendly and easy to hang out with, which made us feel right at home. * Cleanliness: 5/5 – Spotless! * Accuracy: 5/5 – Looked exactly like the photos. * Communication: 5/5 – The host was great. * Location: 4/5 – Just outside the old town, easy to get around and super quiet. * Value: 5/5 – Definitely worth it. We’d totally recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Bratislava who wants somewhere cozy and peaceful to stay!

The only issue we ran into was checking in, but that was on us (we missed the deposit deadline—oops!). The host was quick to reply and got us sorted out with no problem. Besides that, no noise, traffic, or anything else to worry about.

A very lovingly restored apartment. The owner has gone to great effort to obtain unique items throughout the apartment and while full, it doesn't feel cramped. Everything you need here for a short or long stay and only a hop and a skip away from the heart of the old town. Owner also very helpful in giving directions for available free parking and early check in for bag drop (if available).

The only downside, and a minor one, is that there is a bit of road noise despite the double glazed windows - only if that sort of thing bothers you. Don't let the temporary plywood street door fool you at number 5. Everything beyond it is great.

Lovely apartment, excellent location - really near the old town. It was comfortable and well equipped - nice TV and chandeliers!

Location was excellent very close to old town, clean with good facilities. The big room was lovely with nice big windows.

No air conditioning or fans- a bit stuffy on hot days and nights.

Location was truly perfect, especially for this price! The apartment is so beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures. The host is very quick in responding and the contact was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

There are quite a lot of rules spread throughout the apartment (e.g., how to clean the shower after usage), which felt like a bit too much for a holiday accommodation. Also, in all my years of travelling, this is the first time I've ever had to pay a damage deposit, which did feel a bit weird..
