Kawshan Home Stay

Cute family run homestay about 10 mins walk from Herikitiya Beach. Room was nice, hot shower, strong fan, mosquite nets on beds. Food served both at the homestay and at the restuarant nextdoor (operated by the family) was all really nice and fair priced.

Wifi was slow at times

This is such a perfect place to stay, quiet and peaceful with monkeys and squirrels entertaining us from the lush verandah. Isuri is a great host and if you do want to eat here, the family cook Niluka does wonderful tuna, prawns, etc from the Nilwella fish market. The extended family also have a cafe on the lane down to Hiriketiya beach. Theres a shop nearby. Nothing is too much trouble. It's a special place. Carol

Really awesome little home stay, away from the main town. It’s about a 20 minute walk but we don’t mind this. The room is nice and the host is very friendly and communicative. The little terrace out the front with the hammock is also nice .

The room was a little hot with the fan only but we knew this when booking so wasn’t an issue for us.

Lovely homestay and lovely owners! Definitely recommend staying if you are in Hiriketiya its still super close to the beach but away from the westernised parts. More local and authentic feel in a quiet area. Restaurant right next door aswell

Tranquil, beautiful property with hammocks to relax up the hill from the beach -- a short walk down. Comfy, quiet room. Restaurants on the road. Thank you to our great host, Chamindu. So kind and helpful and great to talk to. A wonderful human being. Would stay again for a long time.

Great location and friendly staff. Walking distance to everything you need, including bus. There was a fridge and kitchen available. Shared bathroom was very clean. Bedroom was spacious.

The Host was so nice, the hammocks in the garden so relaxing. Nature surrounds the place, you can see monkeys and peacocks. So nice
