Tolle Lage! 5 Minuten zu Fuss vom Pidurangala Rock und 15 Minuten zum Eingang zum Lion Rock. Nachts seh ruhig, da an einem kleinen Waldweg gelegen. Für in die Stadt braucht man ein Tuktuk, aber man kann auch im Hotel essen. Der sehr sympathische und relaxte Besitzer was ausgesprochen hilfsbereit und hat uns geholfen, unseren Aufenthalt toll zu gestalten. Er hat uns eine wunderschöne Tour mit einem Ruderboot organisiert und eine Nacht-Safari, auf der wir viele Loris gesehen haben. Eine tolle Erfahrung!

Die Unterkunft ist einfach, für uns war das aber ok. Es hatte alles was wir brauchten.

We had a fantastic stay at Thal Sewana. The owner and his son are the kindest and friendliest people. They assisted us wonderfully from arrival until checkout. The owner arranged a full-day program for us and even walked with us to the start point of the Pidurangala Rock hike at 5:10, showing us the way with a flashlight. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts and we also had dinner at the property, which was absolutely delicious both times.

Our room was located directly beside the outdoor seating area, so we could hear other guests talking. But it was manageable.

Such a friendly and helpful manager!!! He helped us with safari and transports with good prices and nice drivers. When ascending the nearby Pidurangala rock in the morning he follows you to protect you from wild elephants!!!

Adding a kettle and tea/coffee to the rooms would be lovely.

Spent two lovely nights here. The location is perfect for accessing the trail to Pidurangala, which is only 5 minutes walk down the road. It is also a walk or short tuktuk to the entrance to Lion Rock. It is not particularly close to the main street area, but this makes it much more secluded and relaxing. The hotel rooms are basic but comfortable. Aside from the great location, the main draw of staying here is the owner, who is incredibly friendly and helpful (and speaks very good English), as well as preparing great food for both breakfast and dinner. He would happily bring out extra foods for us to try, all of which were delicious. He also helped organise for us to attend the dance/music show at Habarana Cultural Centre (highly recommend this), arranging a Jeep to take us to the show, wait for us, and bring us back (whilst also providing a mini safari through the area on the drive). Highly recommend this hotel.
