Sunbay Homestay Cu Lao Cham

The sea view room had a beautiful view over the harbour and the room was comfortable and spacious. The owners are friendly, and the restaurant has a good selection of food, open for all meals. The location is perfect, on the waterfront road in the middle of the main town on the island, with plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby.

Most nights we stayed in the homestay, there was loud karaoke right in front of and beside the property. Although it didn't go too late at night - finishing at 10pm - the evenings were not the peaceful island experience we were hoping for. The balcony is shared, which means that other people can walk in front of the room and look into the room through the large window that fronts onto the balcony. The room could have been cleaner.

The location as well as the friendly staff who organized us an adventure while we waited for check in as well as scooter rental for our group which made the island that much more enjoyable

The couple that run Sunbay are great. She will cook anything off their menu, plus special requests. He speaks english and was very helpful.

There were no bicycles to rent, but it is a hilly island. There are no desks in the room but the owner brought up a table from the restaurant.

The owners Mr lung and mama were lovely. They have everything you need to have a wonderful stay, have motorbike hire, snorkel gear, can book tickets for your onward travel. And mamas cooking is delicious. Room is clean with nice hot shower.

Thanks to all the staff that makes our trip greatfull. Room with a sea view ans the Homestay is close to the beach. Food was great !!!!

We booked a room for one night and also the boat tickets. Then when we were already on the way to the island, the owner cancelled us the room - at the same day!!! It was really Bad, as it was on a weekend and we arrived there with no place to stay. The owner didnt even helped us out to find another place. I guess he met someone on the island who would pay more for the room without using booking.com, then he cancelled us. So if You don't want to arrive at the island without having a room - Do definitely not book the Sunbay Homestay!
