I highly recommend Sumatra Ecolodge. It’s located in a truly unique spot, surrounded by jungle and right on the beach. The property has only three bungalows, so it’s an incredibly peaceful place. The sea is beautiful, I did a lot of snorkeling and I have see plenty of fish and even sea turtles. Aris is the guy who runs the place; he’s kind, friendly, and always available to help or just chat and spend some time together. The bungalows are simple but comfortable and have everything you need. It’s an eco-resort, built using recycled materials, with a strong focus on minimizing any impact on the surrounding nature. It would be unrealistic to expect the comfort of a 5 star hotel in the middle of the jungle ;) Go there! it’s a little paradise🩵

Beautiful location, nice food from the boat man’s wife, can access other islands by kayak

Too many hidden fees for use of hotel equipment like snorkels etc, room is too expensive considering they don’t offer you towels, the shower was a hose pipe that burst open every time you showered and sprayed the whole room and the mosquito net didn’t fit the net and had over 20 holes in.

Locatie was fantastisch, echt een paradijs, alleen de accommodatie was gewoonweg onveilig, verouderd en ver beneden de maat. Alles, de huisjes en sanitaire voorzieningen moeten vernieuwd worden. Leek een scène uit expeditie Robinson. Maar onze host Horis was zeer vriendelijk en probeerde er op zijn manier de beste van te maken.
