the room and house is heated when we arrived which is great. The room is big too as we can fit our luggage without having to squeeze.

"Warm hospitality that made me feel at home."

The owner was incredibly kind, and I truly felt the warmth and charm of this guesthouse! I happened to stay on a rare day of heavy snowfall—my rental car got buried in the snow and many roads were closed in all directions. Despite the challenges, the owner helped me so much, and I’m deeply grateful for their support. I would definitely love to stay here again the next time I visit Lake Tekapo!

The bathrooms are shared, so I was a little concerned about how other guests used them, but I understand that’s part of staying at a guesthouse. Also, although it’s probably quite rare, it was -5°C during my stay—so it was honestly a bit cold! (haha)

"Basic but clean"

Comfortable bed. Very quiet. Very clean.

Was very basic. Could have been more homely in the small living/dining area. Location was ok but nothing special.
