Lake Tekapo Double Room shared facilities

It worked for us as a family having 2 rooms together and sharing a bathroom. Good access to fridge with tea/coffee making. Some crockery and glassware.

Sharing the bathroom would have been odd with strangers but an upgrade from a hostel although no kitchen.

Easy to get into the town centre (3 min drive - we could have walked it in 15). The shared bathroom proved no problem at all. Nice seating area for eating breakfast (not provided). Friendly host although we only met him very briefly.

In terms of value for money, we felt that, at the price, it would have been nice to have had a simple continental-style breakfast provided - as many other places we have stayed at in NZ have done.

Bit small living area and sharing

Great location within walking distance of the lake, which on a clear night gives great views of the stars and Milky Way. Very clean and tidy. Nice to be able to sit out on the porch in the evening for a drink. Friendly host who took the time to chat to us. Easy to park right out the front. Fridge freezer to store food. Microwave and cutlery plates to heat up dinner.

A bedside table on both sides of the bed would have been handy but only a minor thing

Very nice stay near the lake. Kitchen utensils were provided. Everything was very clean.

The accomodation had everything we needed (great bed and bathroom)! Very short walk to the lake, which is about three streets away. Also friendly hosts. Would recommend for sure!
