Lake Tekapo Double Room shared facilities

The location was convenient, just a short drive from Lake Tekapo’s stunning shoreline, with easy parking for our car. The room was clean, cozy, and adequate for a short stay, though the shared bathroom and kitchen facilities were basic but OK. The nearby lake views were a highlight

No kitchen so we have to go to town for dinner where there are not so many good options

Really great location, easy check in/out, comfortable bed and bedroom, clean and nice touches such as towels and earplugs.

Only negative was it could have done with a stove top, however this would not deter me from staying again as overall it was a great place to stay!

Hard to get there by foot. But if you have a car, it should be fine.

A good comfortable bed, with good linen. Clear instructions. Good shower. Pretty clean. Good, comfortable outdoor deck. Quite expensive for shared accommodation.

Poor positioning of microwave, close to the floor. Shared use of bathroom had to be navigated carefully with other hirers. Freezer compartment contained broken glass from a stored bottle which had shattered. Looked as if it had been there a while. Not enough hooks to hang clothing.

It was a really lovely comfortable stay. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We had such a great time. Thank you

The location was excellent for Lake Tekapo. You could easily walk into the village centre but the road location was very quiet with pleasant views of mountains and neighbours. The property was pristine and the hosts so helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and there was masses of hot water for the shower/basin. The shared deck and indoor accommodation was a real plus. There were lots of excellent places to eat in the village and stunning views of the lake as you sipped coffee or a glass of wine!

The shared kitchen was easier to prepare snacks then a full meal but as there was such a range of places to eat and picnic in Lake Tekapo this was not a problem, particularly as the hosts supplied masses of fresh cold water in a very large fridge and all washing up, plus cleaning of the shower room was done for guests.
