Tharaka Homestay

The place is within walking distance from the train station and the beach. Don't follow google direction which guide you to walk in the neighbourhood, there is dead end, try to reach the homestay from the main road. The host was friendly and helpful, check in was smooth. The room and bed linen were clean, the room is also spacious. The fan was super strong. There are also supermarket and restaurants nearby.

There was no power on the next day morning, so it got really hot in the room. The cleanliness of the toilet can be improved.

Very friendly, easy to handle, could leave my luggage and take a shower after check-out. Great value for money and too location. Quiet but still quick beach access.

Convenient location and though basic I found the kitchen facility and access to a fridge a real bonus adding to the value for money. The family were on standby should you require help.

Lovely family and beautiful children who made me feel so homely and welcome. Big spacious clean room and helped me with cheap tuktuk too. i booked for one night & ended up staying for my whole trip in Weligama.

I lived already for 1,5 months in Tharaka Homestay and I always loved it. It is my place to be in Weligama. The family is so friendly and you have everything you need in the near. I can recommend in for 100%! :)

There was a smell in my room that was a bit not confortable, the bed sheets also.. mattress and pillow a bit old I think but it’s ok

Perfect location between Weligama beach,Cargills Food City,bus station and railway station-only few minutes by foot ! Possibility to use full equipped kitchen and refrigerator. Very nice hosts. I recommend this place as a base for trips to nearby places-Mirissa,Galle and other.
