The proximity to the beach and nearby bus/train stations. There's Cargills supermarket across the street and plenty of restaurants to choose from around.

The washroom is shared with other private rooms which tends to get dirty. No hot shower with lack of toiletries. The rooms look old and had a few insects in my bed.

Stayed here several times now. A genuine Sri Lankan homestay with a beautiful friendly family. Rooms are a great size. Large ceiling fan which does the job. Nice communal indoor sitting area, good sized bathroom and kitchen. Location is 5 minutes walk from the beach and a few few minutes walk from Cargill’s supermarket. Great value for money.

I felt extremely safe as a solo female traveller. The family hosts were really wonderful- very open with guests- very helpful! So close to the beach for surfing- only a few minutes walk! Right opposite a great supermarket. The family lent me a helmet- umbrella - whatever I needed. You could wash / dry/ hang clothes They were flexible with my extended stay- lots of space/ kitchen- big fridge. So well priced- for a basic stay. Lovely children !

I didn’t like sharing bathroom with men- who have particular bathroom habits- but it was a short enough stay- not to matter.

The location was the best part - close to the beach and supermarket The family downstairs was nice and friendly Overall okay for a price

The bathroom was not clean, the room also not very clean but ok. The kitchen is low-standard Shop around for transportation offers as the tuktuk offers of the owner are not the best (also sometimes says there is no train where there are trains).

Clean basic room with a fairly comfortable bed, the fan was powerful. I enjoyed my stay here and the family are lovely. Really good location.

No soap in the bathroom but that could be easily changed!

The owners were extremely friendly and the social areas were spacious, rooms clean and whole place excellent value for money

No hot water but with the hot weather not really needed anyway
