Battambang Eco Stay &cooking class

I came to Battambang Eco Homestay solo and left with lifetime friends. What makes this place truly special is the incredible people who live and run it. Pisey and Vandy are the heart of the homestay. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel like family. Pisey is a phenomenal cook who prepares every dish fresh, using ingredients she personally selects each day from the market. Every meal was delicious and made with love. Both Pisey and Vandy are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, always happy to help you plan your time in Battambang. I originally booked for three nights but ended up staying five because I felt so at home—and if I had more time, I would have stayed even longer. I had the joy of spending time with their wonderful family; their daughters and the other children on the property brought such warmth and joy to the experience. It genuinely felt like I was staying with family. Pisey helped arrange a fantastic day tour and took care of all my transportation needs, making everything so easy and stress-free. The room I stayed in was simple, clean, and had everything I needed. One of my favorite spots was the lounging area with three hammocks—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the peaceful vibe. Thank you, Pisey and Vandy, for your kindness, hospitality, and the genuine connection. I’ll never forget this stay.

What a wonderful place to stay! Battambang Eco Stay is beautifully and peacefully located, surrounded by nature – the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The sleeping areas are clean and comfortable, and the shared bathroom is always spotless. We enjoyed delicious meals every day, freshly cooked with local ingredients – a real treat! What makes this place truly special is the warm hospitality of Mrs. Ptsey. She welcomed us like family and goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home. We also really appreciated the help with practical matters, like arranging transport to the bus stop, and arranging tuktukservice with Mister Sophat. A truly authentic and relaxing experience – highly recommended for anyone visiting Battambang!

We came at night so the place was in the countryside. The road was dark but once we were there we felt like at home. Warm dinner, conversations. It was our first impression with Cambodia and that was great!

All the facilities are maintained. Bed was super comfy and of course the owner is a friendly lady who runs this place with her husband

Everything was perfect and the Cambodian breakfast was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Just the most wonderful hosts. Great scooter rental too.

We had such a lovely stay here! The host was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. One of the best parts was that they connected us with an amazing TukTuk driver who knew all the best spots in Battambang. Thanks to them, we got to see so much more than we expected and really enjoyed exploring the area. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Battambang—comfortable stay, great hospitality, and fantastic local experiences!

Beautiful countryside, easy to get into central Battambang (recommend cycling with bikes provided!!), tasty food and the most warm and welcoming family you’ll ever meet who support so many good causes. Such a perfect stay!

Nothing

The family is very friendly and the wife speaks very good english. The stay in the bamboo cabin was awesome, you don’t need anything, only a bed. You can have lunch and dinner also and the family is cooking excelllent local food. You can get everything you want but I preferred local food, and it was delicious. Every day something else. I felt really welcome over there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and preferred staying out of town a bit. It was a very authentic stay with lovely hosts, and fruit trees all around. Nothing was a problem, the food was great and the service was very attentive and genuine. We are both retired yet had a blast staying in the rustic cabin for three nights. Overall it was excellent value for money, and it’s nice to know your payment benefits the whole community. Excellent.

We had a lovely time at the Eco homestay. They picked us up from the bus station and made us feel welcome. We ate lunch and breakfast there and both were good. The kids and funny and cute. It was super hot when we were there (around 40degrees in the daytime) but night time was still ok for sleeping with the fan in the room. I would recommend it if you don’t mind being out of town a little. I’m Battambang we saw the bamboo train, the bat cave, temples, killing caves, and checked out the town. There are some good places to eat in town - Eden cafe and The Fringe.

The most wonderful homestay with Pisey and her lovely family. Our bungalows were nice, and the food was also good. We had some really lovely days with the family, and just enjoyed being there. Our children played together, and Pisey was happy to help with everything. Thanks for the good conversations 🙏♥️
