Battambang Eco Stay &cooking class

J'ai particulièrement apprécié d'être au calme, proche de la nature, entourée de rizières, c'est exactement ce dont j'avais besoin. La propriétaire est d'une grande gentillesse et fait tout ce qu'elle peut pour rendre notre séjour agréable. La cuisine est délicieuse, j'ai pu participer à une cooking class pour 15$, et j'ai pu emprunter un vélo pour me promener dans les rizières. C'était exactement ce que je recherchais.

Abbiamo scelto di passare 2 notti nella struttura per vivere un'esperienza particolare a contatto con la natura e non siamo stati assolutamente delusi. La stanza rispettava le aspettative. Ottima colazione preparata ogni mattina con ingredienti freschissimi. Abbiamo partecipato alla cooking class ed è stata una piacevole esperienza. Pisey e la sua famiglia sono meravigliosi e molto disponibili. Ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa.

La struttura si trova fuori città, ma è possibile noleggiare scooter sul posto o muoversi con i tuk tuk.

Fijne locatie wat buiten het centrum van Battambang. Zeer gastvrije ontvangst en goed verblijf gehad. Lodges zijn basic, maar voldoen prima.

Excellent service. The rooms are very characteristic, in pure cambodian style and the staff is very kind. It was nice to live within a local family environment. They also offer tasty traditional food.

The host was very pro-active and flexible: she was there for us, providing excellent food reasonably priced, transport to the city and everything that we asked for. The place is peaceful,ideal for a proper holiday. Houses are unique. There are 2 rooms, terrace.bathroom at the ground floor and dining area.

What a fantastic homestay with Pisey and her family. We had some traditional rooms while other guests stayed in beautiful lodges with shared bathroom. Everything working just fine (lights, wi-fi, hot water, electricity, etc.) This place is set a few kilometers away from the city, in a quiet, 35-family village. Easily reachable by car or even tuk-tuk. Great place to relax from the noise of the city. Pisey has cooked several meals for us - her cooking is excellent, with just fresh ingredients she sources from the village and markets. We also took her cooking class, which I highly recommend. No skills needed, she will take your from zero to home-made fish hamock in no time, including fetching ingredients from the garden. Pisey and her family have looked after us carefully, ensuring we were always comfortable and enjoying our stay. They also actively support other small businesses in the village and their community in general. You can easily reach the old bamboo train, bat cave, phare circus, city center or other points of interest from there by tuk-tuk or taxi. There is also a resort nearby that accepts external guests to their swimming pool should you need it.

L'endroit un peu à l'écart de Battambang est en pleine campagne entouré des maisons paysannes et c'est très dépaysant. Les bungalows sont très jolis et propres. Nous avons fait un cours de cuisine avec pisey et les plats étaient délicieux. Nous avons eu l'impression de partager un peu le quotidien de cette famille. Pisey organise aussi vos déplacements et reste à l'écoute de vos envies.

Probably the most genuine and lovely people I’ve met during my SEA travels. They’ll welcome you like family and make you feel completely at home. The place itself is beautifully nestled in the peaceful outskirts of Battambang, just a short 15–20 minute ride from the city. It’s rustic, calming, and perfect if you want to unwind and be pampered. Plus, there are plenty of adorable kids around who’ll brighten your day. Can’t wait to come back—highly recommended!

Probably the kindest people we've met in Cambodia ! They've been treating us like kings from the begining till the end, arranging tuk tuk, calling tour operators, make sure that everything was great all along our stay. The place is very quiet and it feels really good to listen to the sounds of nature. The cabana was amazing, great new experience ! They also cook breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh products and the dishes were very tasty and flavourful. I can only recommend very much this place !!

Wonderfully friendly, kind, and generous family who really want you to enjoy their home and your time in Battambang. Their home is in a small village about 10 mins by scooter from Battanbang town and 15 mins from the bat and killing caves. A wonderful snapshot of local life.. with lots of smiles and hellos and it's quiet at night. Our lovely hosts organised a scooter for us, and we had 2 generous sized and very tasty evening meals. Our breakfasts were different every day, and really tasty with beautiful fruit platters and sticky rice treats too! There are nice spaces for relaxing outside each room. If Phirum is there when you stay, invest some time to hear about his school and library project 120km away. If you have a teaching background, inquire about volunteering opportunities. A must visit in Battambang is The Human Gallery... if you do one thing, this should be it!
