Kew Gardens & National Archives

I had a lovely stay in beautiful Kew and the hosts were super helpful when I encountered an unforeseen issue during my stay. The area was quiet, conveniently located and I enjoyed the selection of shops and eateries within walking distance.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Room was neat and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Very pleasant surroundings and certainly value for money. Also very close to kev tube station.

This is an excellent value for the money. The hosts are friendly and gracious and the room is comfortable and well appointed. I was in London to use the National Archives, and the location is perfect for that. But I think even people traveling to do the standard sightseeing wouldn't find it too inconvenient. It's close to the District Line and a straight shot into the city.

Perfect location if you plan on visiting the archives - it's a 5min. walk. A supermarket and the train station are also just a 5min. walk away. Sharing a bathroom was no trouble at all, though I might have just got lucky with whoever else was staying in the other rooms :) Very quiet, especially at night. There is a small fridge in the room, as well as a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, cutlery and dishes, which was fantastic for preparing small meals. As a female solo-traveler I was a little anxious about the lock-situation described by other reviewers - the door to my room, hoewever, had a lock and key, so this issue seems to have been fixed. The online description when going through to the booking mentions that linen and towels are available for a charge - this is not true, they were provided free of charge. Can whole-heartedly recommend and will definitely stay here again :)

*Excellent location for a visit to the National Archives or in order to explore Kew Gardens. *The hosts were friendly, more or less as described by other guests. *Room equipped with toaster, small fridge, etc.

*Private parking should be...private. Beware that parking costs 5 GBP/day and implies finding a parking spot somehere along the street adjacent to the accommodation. Thus, parking is not free and not private. *The only water source is in the shared bathroom (one corresponding to several rooms...).
