Villa Leopoldskron

We loved all the little touches- decorated for Easter,toiletries, free sanitary products, scented candle with matches, tea bags guide books… It was spacious with excellent mountain views. It would have been easy to stay in the villa and look out of the window and breathe in the clear air all day! It was close to a bus stop for two buses into the main part of Salzburg.

Everything was great. A wonderful cosy top floor appartment like a 5 Star hotel. No comments

It's not very close to the city centre but very manageable even with kids.5 min walk to the bus stop Located in a quiet living area near a cosy spring.

Central, quiet, peaceful and cozy place, the owner of the place is very nice and helped us with everything we needed, highly recommend coming

- Instructions were very extremely clear and detailed (including detailed videos), and host was extremely responsive, helpful, and communicative at all times. We had a great stay and felt very well received. - Host was kind to offer help at all times, including offering to pick up our clothes and wash them for us when we had trouble using the building's washing machine due to neighbors not removing their clothes from the machine after use. - Location was peaceful and quiet, yet a short drive from everything. Also lots of things nearby at walking distance. - Parking space in the property and very good and convenient.

- The floor was a bit squeaky, which made it a bit harder to keep the baby asleep when walking around at night. - Neighbors using the common washing machine in the basement didn't remove their clothes for hours, which made it more cumbersome to do laundry. - The apartment was at the top (4th) floor and no elevator (and laundry in the basement), we had a lot of luggage and baby stuff to carry upstairs so it was a bit less convenient in that sense. But that's only a small detail, we loved this place and had a great stay.

This is a nice apartment in a quiet residential area with great transport links to both the airport and the old town. The apartment is on the top floor in the roof space of an older, charming residence but doesn't feel cramped as the room sizes and ceiling height are are good and there are plenty of windows, especially in the generous dining/living room. (One of the bedrooms has a lovely view of the mountains). It's simply furnished but has everything you need and is cosy and warm - much appreciated during our mid-December visit. As were the welcoming snacks, liqueur and punsch bottles left for us to try and the charming Christmas decorations. The bus stop into the old town is just around the corner, with frequent buses that take about 10-15 mins to get to Herbert v Karajan Plaza at one end of the old town. Most of the main attractions are within easy walking distance from this spot and I'd highly recommend sauntering slowly along the Getreidegasse shopping street which starts nearby. Villa Leopoldkron is at the top end of a one-way road so taxis have to turn off the main road and wriggle a bit to get to it and buses from the airport or returning from the old town drop you on the main road - about a 5-7 minute walk away. This main road is also where there are shops, a cafe, a good Italian restaurant and a grocery store. We didn't meet Ingrid, our host in person, but she was very helpful, sending videos of the property and how to access the keys and during our stay, providing interesting suggestions of activities we hadn't found mentioned elsewhere. Highly recommended for up to four adults.

Not a negative as such but as others have pointed out, this apartment is on the top floor of an older property so there are (by my count) five flights of stairs and no lift. The stairs are wide with landings in between so we found them manageable but it's not a property for anyone with serious mobility issues.

Very comfortable apartment with everything you need. The little added extras were a nice touch! 20 minutes walk to into old town with small children.

Well stocked kitchen, parking on site, super comfortable beds. Short walk (20 minutes) to St. Peters and the downtown area.

Great communication from the host. Comfortable beds. Host provided unexpected extras to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Apparent on 3rd floor, not lift so with heavy bags was difficult
