"Superb"

Fantastic location. Great view from 17 floor. I could see the Adelaide oval, the River, North terrace etc. next door to Hindley Street with lots of fantastic restaurants and shopping at rundle mall within minutes. Loved the pool and the hot spa too. Car park availability for $18 a night was a big bonus as it was not easy to find cheap parking.

There was only one key but the hosts said they will make another one

"I would not recommend this hotel, or booking.com."

The location is great, however the completely cumbersome check-in and check-out process completely ruined what otherwise would have been a comfortable stay.

We booked through Booking.com at now time was it made clear (or obvious), that check-in was via a remote key box, without any reception of onsite assistance. Furthermore, we were not given the check-in instructions until proof of payment had been made (despite that fact we had booked via booking.com). After calling the help line, I was told I need to provide a bank receipt that the funds had cleared. This was impossible as it was booked via a company card, which I did have access to remotely. Despite my continued attempts to clearly explain this issue, I was simply told that is the policy of the hotel. Finally after 30 mins, the compromise was that I would provide this the following day (which I still find hard to understand). To make the entire experience worse, we were then charged a penalty amount as the key was placed in the incorrect lock-box upon check-out. We are in the process of making a formal complaint to the South Australian Government Department of Consumer and Business Service. I would not recommend this hotel, or booking.com for that matter as this was a completely unacceptable given the impossible scenario requested and uncompromising nature of the hotel service people.

This was the worst accommodation experience I have had.

We had some urgent work to do in regional SA at a location where there is no access to internet and barely cell access to make/receive phone calls. Before driving out to do the work we made the booking for this property so that we would have somewhere to stay after a 16 hour shift. on the way out to the job they rang to ask us when we would check in, we mentioned it would be after 7:30PM and they said this would not be a problem. during the day it became apparent that we wouldn't make it to Adelaide until much later. I called to confirm if this would be ok. they said this would not be a problem and that we just needed to "follow the instructions on our guide book" when I asked what a guidebook is they said that we needed to send them a photo of ourselves holding our photo ID and the booking.com invoice so they could send the guide book. I explained that we didn't have internet where we were and certainly not a printer but they persisted in maintaining that this was their protocol. I asked if I could cancel the booking and they said I would have to do this with booking.com (but we had no internet and no way to make alternate arrangements. I asked if we could send them the photo once we got to Adelaide and mentioned that we probably would get there by around 10:30PM they confirmed that this would be OK. We got to Adelaide at around 10:30PM after an exhausting day. I rang to try to determine what email address to send the photo to but only got an answering machine. we enquired at the building(an Oaks hotel) and they mentioned that as this property is privately owned, Oaks would be unable to assist. to add insult to injury, they overcharged us, charging us $560 for a property that was advertised at $340 and which we were not even able to stay at. the phone calls were international. The whole ordeal cost us. - several hours on the phone - $565 - we haven't received the phone bill yet but it might be a further surprise.

"Nice apartment but noisy location."

nice apartment. amenities were pretty good.

location was too close to all-night night clubs. very loud music in vicinity which went until 6am. room was not serviced when we checked in. rubbish and dirty linen from previous guests was still there. had to call to have room cleaned. room wasnโ€™t ready until 5pm.

"Apart from that it was a good experience."

It was a nice property. everything was nice and clean.

We expected the towels and sheets to be changed for our stay over but nothing was changed for the 2nd night.

The location and size of the apartment was good

I didn't like having to pick up and drop off keys at a lock box, if the location of pickup was a lot closer it would of been better. I didn't appreciate the noise from the entertainment district for 3 nights straight till early hours of the morning.
