Swainson at Horizons

I love how comforting it was! The beds were massive, there was a full blow up mattress we used to watch movies on, dish washer and washing machine so freaking handy. Definitely coming back again

Absolutely nothing!

Great view, lovely layout and comfy beds. The instructions for the lock box to get the key was very easy to follow and it worked on the first go. Communication from the host was great, they seemed very organised and they responded quickly. Overall very clean bathrooms and rooms.

Worst thing was finding mouldy cutlery in the very top rack of the dishwasher. There was a plate in the cupboard that had clearly not been cleaned and something sticky under either the mugs/glasses. No tissues, no sponges so we bought our own. There was a very very small amount of milk in the fridge and I didn't know how to easily ask for more milk, toilet paper and towels, so we bought everything we needed and managed with the towels that were supplied. There was something funny happening with the iron and we couldn't find an ironing board. For parking you couldn't book for the number of nights you were staying, had to book for the lot then get a refund. Would be good to have more than one key as the room sleeps 4 and we had 3 people. Our room was 1706.

The Horizons is in a great location. We have stayed there on numerous occasions, previously booked through Oaks Horizons. The rooms are all similarly furnished and very comfortable. It is a really good place to stay whilst visiting Adelaide. This is the first time we have booked through Swainsons at Horizons and I would never book through them again.

The customer service from Swainson's is quite poor. There seems to be several people that answer queries, some better than others. After receiving confirmation of the booking and a payment confirmation from Swainson, they also request a copy of a bank issued receipt of payment and uploading of a selfie holding a valid ID. Check in instructions and the guide book are withheld until this is received. The payment confirmation that Swainson's sent to me had all the transaction details on it already and it was made through booking.com which is a secure payment method so why a bank issued receipt is needed is odd. I was also worried how secure their collection method of your personal information is. I supplied all this information (more than once) to get the check in instructions as we were arriving the next day. They said the guide book had been emailed to me. No emails arrived. They suggested maybe it went to spam (which it didn't). Subsequent emails such as check out information arrived promptly and with no difficulty. I finally did get the check in instructions via a website link and given the difficulty communicating with the customer service team, I requested via message a phone number I could ring to get help if anything went wrong during check in. The answer via message that I received 5 hours after my message was to just contact them here via message. Hardly helpful if things did go wrong. However, the check in was not a problem via the lock box located down the street. There is also a damages bond of $250 which they indicate will be reimbursed within 7 days but it does take longer. Maybe for bookings made well in advance things might go more smoothly. Another minor point was that the room was not as clean as when I have stayed previously when booked through Oaks but it was still passably clean.

The location was fantastic, as were the facilities. The apartment was clean, the beds were super comfy. And the staff were very helpful, when I needed to stay another night.

Spacious, nice balcony.

We arrived to an uncleaned room, advised staff on site and were able to check in an hour and 20 minutes later than 2pm. We were given towels to use the pool while we waited. But then when we got to the room there were no clean towels to shower with. Someone woke me at 9:20pm to arrange towel delivery. Lifts were broken when we were checking out so had to walk all luggage around to the carpark which felt unsafe with our 4 year old. The day before I checked in I was advised there would be no Air conditioning over a 30 degree weekend. Thank you for providing portable coolers but two was not enough for the living area and two bedrooms. I was asked if i would like to pay a fee for cleaners to arrange for the room to be ready early, but the cleaners onsite told me that the room was vacant since Sunday (we checked in Thursday) and should have been cleaned that day. Instead of asking customers to pay an early arrival fee, it would be a nice touch to let them know that the room is in fact ready ahead of schedule.

Location was central and good walking distance to city and sports grounds.

The air conditioner/heating did not work and it took 7 days to be provided with portable heaters and blankets. The customer service was average and I didn’t speak to the same person each time. Follow up was delayed and chicken noises heard in the background while speaking to them was not very professional. Change of sheets and towels had to be requested and then was offered as ‘complimentary’ after waiting for the air conditioner service man for half a day. The apartment faced Hindley street and from Thurs-Sunday nights thumping music disturbed us from 7pm-5am each night from the night clubs/pubs below.

Safety and how close the apartment is to all the historical buildings. Swimming pool great after a long drive to relax.

Sorry beside everythingst carpet and kitchen floor areas needs a good steam cleaning.

Location. Large unit

Only one set of keys. Need instructions for washer dryer combo.

Good. Painting was cracked and broken when I walked in so I removed it from the wall as it was quite unsafe plus the glass was cracked. Apart from that it was good.
