The views from the apartment were stunning and perfectly placed for sunrise. Sharyn and Pat were excellent hosts.

Views, location, host

We arrived here after sunset, so everything was pitch black (but we still saw heaps of wallabys), which made it a breathtaking experience in the morning! The Top Place Retreat sits on a mountainside that looks over beautiful farmlands and mountains in the distance. The view was stunning and so lovely to wake up to each morning. The location was just what we needed - something that felt remote and quite, but was also close enough to drive to Cradle Mountain (1.5hrs), Walls of Jerusalem (1hr) and Deloraine (20m). Sharyn and Pat (The Hosts) left ingredients for pancakes with housemade jam, plus some delicious granola and yoghurt for us to have each morning. Pat lit the firepit for us when we got back from a big day of walking, which was lovely. We sat by the fire and enjoyed a cup of tea by their dam. Would definitely stay here again!! Perfect place for a couples getaway - but there are also 4 rooms altogether, so you could come with a larger group too.

No wifi or internet - which is great to disconnect, but also a little inconvenient. Walls were a little thin, we could hear the people nextdoor watching TV.

Beautiful setting, beautiful room. Nice and peaceful.

There was no sugar for coffee.

Splendid view of mountains and rolling hills. Good kitchen set up including a decent sized fridge. Handy items of food provided for brekky. I had fun making pancakes and blinis using the provided pancake mix and pancake maker.

Spectacular location. Friendly, helpful hosts.
