Nigel and Ruby were super hospitable, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to share a useful timetable for our stay, making sure we didn't miss out on any of the island attractions. Both are very interesting characters and enjoyed sharing their life story over an afternoon gin and tonic. Definitely a wonderful and enjoyable experience.

Loved my stay down in the Cove. The apartment was wonderful and comfortable with everything you could need for a long term stay. Nigel was an absolute pleasure to deal with via Booking.com. Couldn’t have been easier! I will absolutely be back!

My only suggested improvement (if I had to give one) would be a new couch. After long days of field work it was a struggle to get out of the old couch. I can’t imagine how elderly people would fair. That being said, it was luxurious just to have a couch 😁

First of all: I will definitely book this accommodation again on my next visit to Christmas Island. My accommodation was huge (kitchen, shower, toilet, hallway, lounge, bedroom), and well-equipped. Nigel and Ruby's hospitality and helpfulness were simply fantastic. Without Nigel, I would have only seen a fraction of the island! The location is also perfect (supermarket around the corner, post office, tourist information center, etc., all just a few steps away. By the way: free shuttle service (airport) worked great.

I thought long and hard about whether there were any negatives. Perhaps the general observation that there aren't many sandy beaches, supermarket prices are higher, and not everything is available. It's best to book rental cars in advance before they're fully booked.

Host, Nigel, was exceptional and made sure you always had what you needed Partner, Ruby, was wonderful too Picked up from airport The place is rustic and yet meets all your needs Comfy beds, air-con, TV room, private bathroom, washing machine (such a bonus!!), kitchen Location was terrific - close to snorkeling, supermarket, 2 places to eat, across the road from the foreshore Also helped with transport when required

Some parts were very old and possibly difficult to clean But that's all!
