Lighthouse apartment in Heart of Antwerp

De locatie was fantastisch. Communicatie met personeel verliep snel. Voor de prijs prima.

Het water was veelal koud. Weinig servies, geen bierglazen, geen wijnglazen. 1 theedoek voor gehele verblijf (3 nachten). Koffiezet apparaat waar je maar 1 kopje per keer mee kan zetten. De banken hebben hun beste tijd gehad.

De locatie was top! En fijn dat we met z'n allen konden zitten. 't is prima ingericht en er is genoeg ruimte. Ook de bedden waren prima. Alles is voorzien.

De douche was bijna niet warm te krijgen. De banken hebben hun beste tijd gehad en zitten niet heel comfortabel meer. 'T appartement was vrij warm (+23 graden minimaal) en we kregen het niet afgekoeld. Het is een vrij rumoerig gebied dus met ramen open heb je 's ochtends veel overlast. Het was fijn geweest om een extra setje sleutels te hebben, maar we hebben ons zo gered :).

Tolle Lage, aber jedem, der in der Innenstadt bucht, muss klar sein, dass es nicht leise ist. Wir haben es genossen, alle zu Fuß erledigen zu können.

Wunderschöne Wohnung, die eine Guindreinigung nötig hat. Sehr viel Staub & alter Schmutz. Duschtüre schließt nicht.

It was fine, but annoying to have to go to a separate location collect the keys. The 'tourist tax' in cash, seems a bit dodgy.

Niet echt schoon en we hadden niet genoeg handdoeken voor het gezelschap waarmee we hadden geboekt. Contact gehad met de contactpersoon die beloofde extra handdoeken te regelen maar dat is niet gebeurd. Vervolgens was er geen warm water in de douche.

Looks modern, especially the kitchen, close to shopping centers.

I understand that they didn't list it as with an airconditioner unit. However, they should be considerate in providing at least a fan for ventilation. They advised us to keep the windows open in which we did. We ended up with dozens of mosquito bites. At 0230, we were up killing bloody mosquitoes instead of sleeping.. Suffocating unit with lots of mosquitoes. It was a horrible stay.

There was no air conditioner, not even a fan, and it was extremely hot inside the apartment. I've never stayed in any homestay without at least basic cooling—this was unbearable. The check-in office is not within walking distance from the apartment. There’s no luggage storage service available, which caused major inconvenience, especially since I had booked two separate apartments from the same host back-to-back. I initially booked the first one, but when I wanted to extend, it was already sold out, so I booked another unit from the same host. Despite this, I still had to check out at 11:00 AM and wait until 2:00 PM to check in again, with nowhere to go and nothing to do for three hours. The check-in office is around 20 minutes away by metro and walking. The kitchen lacked a microwave, so I couldn't reheat any takeaway food. The water heater was also not very clean. What shocked me most was that I lost my adapter in the apartment — I'm absolutely certain I left it there. I contacted the host just a few hours after check-out, but was told nothing had been found. Honestly, I know who must have taken it. I strongly advise: never leave anything behind in the apartment, because the housekeeper will take it without notifying you, regardless of its value. The scariest part: despite the clear rule that check-out time is 11:00 AM (which I had carefully read in their long list of house rules), someone tried to unlock my door at 10:45 AM while I was still inside — alone, and in the middle of changing clothes. It was terrifying and deeply disturbing.
