Lighthouse apartment in Heart of Antwerp

The collection of the key was a total nightmare. After 2 connection flights, getting on a train from Brussels, taking the metro and then struggling to get to the property with all the road constructions, we realized that the key was +- 2km from the property and someone had to walk there to pick up the key and walk back to open the apartment for 2 elderly exhausted ladies. Locating the key took about an hour. I expected better service with the key collection!

The apartment is roomy and bright. The kitchen and the bathroom are fairly new. The bedrooms are super cozy.

We had to pay taxes in cash, the other apartments in the building where rent out to youngsters making terrible noice during the evening. Host reacted by sending a nightguard nevertheless nothing for families.

The location is really good, the neighborhood was good and the beds were good. There are some (night) shops around and a lot of nice places to eat and drink. It's pretty good.

The shower had black and pink mold, with signs of previous leakage. The left sink didn't flush, there were clear signs of leakage in the living room at the front. It's been remodeled and looks quite nice, loads of beds, but the quality of the rebuild is just visibly poor. Also, the fact that you have to walk for 15+ minutes to get the key (close to central station) was not ideal with the rain. Had to wait for 20 mins in a line before I got the key. If the mold gets taken care of, I would definitely visit again, though.

Only 2 bedrooms. Maybe ok for groups of friends, less suitable for a large family
