Savannah Cabins, Taronga Western Plains Zoo

They were in the middle of a renovation and so we were effectively staying on a building site surrounded by metal fences which was very disappointing and not communicated to us prior to booking or arrival.

The extremely slow induction cooker is a nightmare

Everything. It was modern, lovely, spacious and great location

Our cabin was located inside the zoo boundary, the first thing that we saw from the balcony were some giraffes. We were surprised that both bedrooms had a bathroom. The cabin was clean, beds comfortable. They were well fitted out if you wanted to prepare meals on site. We purchased tickets to the zoo as part of the accommodation package which gave us access to the zoo over a two day period.

The aircon unit was very noisy. It was somewhat overpriced when compared to other similar properties. If you wanted to go out, particularly at night, there was a 2km drive on a dirt road before getting to the gates.

The location was lovely and we look forward to visiting again when the building of the resort.

Amazing location, close to zoo and far enough away from town. Great bedding and accessibility. Loved that you could see some animals

Our BBQ wasn’t cleaned , outdoor lights didn’t work and I didn’t think the place was overly cleaned well. We were not informed that there was construction going on which it was in our view of the animals so I think very expensive to have construction going on right next to you.
