Tempel Cathedral Lodge in the Heart of Antwerp

fantastic location. in the centre beside the cathedral. staff were great when we connected the key - from an office 10 mins away at 2pm. google maps helped greatly once we first found the property and then walked from there to the collection point.

there were 3 of us staying there. in the cutlery drawer there was one knife one large spoon and one knife. the towels were very past their sell by date. no bin in the bathroom. and it was extremely cold throughout the night once temperatures dipped outside - is was the end of January so temps were quite low

The location was right beside the Cathedral in centre of Antwerp.

This apartment is a fire trap and needs to be inspected by the city authorities to ensure the owner brings it up to standards required for travellers to safely sleep and exit building in event of a fire or other emergency. It should be taken off the booking.com listing.

Real city center. Nice design of the apartment. But without hot water for showering and heating is not so lovely experience. It a pity.

No hot water for showering on the second day of stay and the next morning. No heating at the same time (While it's only 3 degrees outside). Ventilation noise from the restaurant below throughout the night. The apartment has only one toilet and WC in its 115 square meters and is located on the first of three levels, so from the attic on the third level you have a problem with transportation to the toilet. The apartment is located in the very center and it's a shame for the shortcomings that are really without justification. The request for hot water was not fulfilled, and the answer arrived 5 hours later, after I was already on my way to the airport.

The location was unbeatable, as you are surrounded by amazing restaurants, nightlife and beautiful historical buildings. The staff attended to our request to fix the heater and was very friendly.

The stairs to get to the room, the door locks were a bit cumbersome, the smell of fried food from the restaurant downstairs, the lack of a functional heater the first night, the only bathroom is downstairs (which is tough if you stay in the loft because it is 2 flight of steep stairs), the stairway light inside didn't work, the mirror fell down (it was just sitting precariously on the sink) and the faucet in the bathroom was extremely loose.

The location is really nice, the apartment can host a lot of people. Meets all basic needs. Good value for money.

Needs some basic repairs - shower drains very slowly, showerhead unstable, mirror in the bathroom falling, sink in bathroom cracked. Because of location can be noisy and smelly (restaurants underneath). The place is organised to host as many people as possible, but there is only on bathroom/toilet.

top location and lots of space, rental agency quick to respond to an issue

difficult to say - we managed the difficult to open front door and the steep staircase ok but were tired after lugging our suitcases there as there is no close by parking. the smell of fried things in the apartment was overwhelming as it came from nearby restaurants and together with the fact that the whole place is on the run down side with hardly any personal note or decorations made it a bit difficult to feel at home there.
