Im alten Dorfteil von Zermatt

The location is great, the property is clean and comfortable. It’s right in the middle of town but was quiet.

The check out time was 9 am. Even though I checked our booking and it stated 9:30 am, which is ridiculous! In addition they expect you to take the linens off the beds, and take out your trash. I don’t mind doing those things but then the check out should be 11 am like most places.

Check-out procedure was quite inconvenient. I didn’t realize that check out was 9AM when I booked. I’ve never experienced such an early check-out time with any other apartment for rent. You are also expected to remove all linens before leaving and also throw out the trash in the disposal area in Zermatt. The latter was not a big deal (though surprising), but the very early check-out time was not what I was expecting.

Very simple, very clean, perfect location; everything we needed for a great family vacation in Zermatt!

Die Lage ist einfach top! Bei Fragen habe ich immer prompt Antwort erhalten und wir konnten sogar ein bisschen später auschecken.

The apartment was vers spacious, bigger than it looked from the pictures. It's in a super old traditional building and street yet lovely and modern inside. It's perfectly located in the centre of town and less than 5 minutes walking in skis to the ski bus stop from where you can take the bus 1 stop in one direction to the funicular station and 2 stops in the other direction to the main gondola. You also have Harry's Bar, very popular for apres ski, right next to the bus stop. The kitchen is great with plenty of space and all the equipment you need to cook full meals as if you are at home. For instance - you have two super large saucepans for stews, a medium and a small one too, and two frying pans. There is a balcony with chairs and table which overlooks a paddock where the Mount Cervin hotel next door sometimes keep their two horses in between horse & carriage rides, and you have a huge pine tree with birds and squirrels; plus you can see the top of the Matterhorn over the rooftops. The heating works perfectly including being able to adjust the temperature easily both up and downs, and the shower is powerful with lovely hot water. You'll get a great sleep - there's no noise at all from neighbours, and shutters on the windows if you like perfect darkness. Elmedina, the host, is quick to respond on whatsapp or 'phone. We had an issue with the lights in the small bedroom when we arrived and she sent someone round to fix it within half an hour.

We would have liked an extra pillow each or a choice of soft and firm pillows. The ones they have are soft and were perfect for me but my son likes a firmer/thicker pillow. Two additional wooden cooking spoons would be nice too.

Super Lage - ruhig und zentral

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Zentral und dabei nicht laut. Der Checkout ist mit 9 Uhr zu früh. Checkin um 16 Uhr zu spät. Die Lampen im Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer flackerten, was darauf hindeutet, dass die Leitungen veraltet sind.

The apartment is located near the center of the town. Easy access to the train station, all within 5 minutes. Hosts were communicative.
