I felt like there was not a lot of direction given on how to check in and check out

It’s much bigger than we expected. The whole unit is clean and really comfortable for a group gathering. It’s walking distance from Interlaken Westctrain station, surrounded by many convenient e stores.

The location could not have been any better. Just a minute walk from Interlaken West Train station!

The place was not ready for us when we got there. There were no pillows or sheets for the sofa beds. The apartment itself was also pretty dirty. The couch has stains, the dining chairs had dried food, and the linens had hair and dark spots.

This was all misery. Apartment booked on 4 September 2023. No access to key box, given phone number not in use, no response to messages, after an hour with help of a passerby we found another phone number after which we had contact and access to flat. Turned out the flat was not clean and tidy. Rubbish, dirty dishes, beds slept in, bathroom not clean. Landlord indicated cleaner would come in an hour. By now it was 9pm and I was no longer confident of a good outcome. Decided to find another place to sleep and agreed with landlord that I would get my money back. After three weeks, no money back yet. Tried to get in touch via booking.com. No result. Total no responses to messages to the landlord and no money back. This was an unmitigated disaster. The fact that the flat was dirty is not ok but can happen. However, the way the landlord then handled this misery is scandalous.
