La Casa Bonita

We loved the location. It was green and beautiful with hummingbirds outside our door. The property was spacious. Marielos is a great host. She helped us book tickets and taxis.

Nothing to not like about this property.

We had a wonderful stay in Monteverde! This place was an incredible bargain for the price spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen. The owner, who lives next door, is so kind and genuinely helpful. She even helped us coordinate the bus, which stops literally right in front of the house— no need to go all the way into the center of town. Just send her a quick message on WhatsApp, and she’ll guide you. The view is breath taking !!! Right on the edge of the mountain looking at the clouds come over the cloud forest every day . The garden is beautiful, with butterflies fluttering around, which made the mornings feel magical. The space is perfect for a couple, and compared to other options in the area, I was pleasantly surprised by how much value we got here. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde!

Super host. Peaceful setting in nature with mountains and when the clouds cleared, we could see the ocean. Flowers and jungle forest around it. Wind on the trees beautiful. Super comfortable king size bed and very very clean, including floors for walking barefoot. Breakfast was well prepared. Fresh fruit and juice - delicious. Omelette also very good. Fried eggs perfect. Very private even though the host was in adjacent side of duplex. Located easy walk to grocery store.

TV was limited. Some finishings were a little rough. Adjacent property above it is not complete and some construction noise on one day. But for the privacy, comfort, and overall quiet, I was very pleased. The host has 2 large friendly dogs. They are clean and well cared for and not noisy. Just fyi. I found them to be fun.

Large king bed and nice breakfast. Roughly 2.5 out of 5 stars overall.

There were lots of insects and spiders inside. Shower was hot but with minimal pressure - that’s standard in CR though.
