A little difficult to find in the dark

I liked how friendly Gaby was, able to greet us and make us feel welcome.

Not offering tea. A mint and green tea offered would be awesome.

Clean, location and friendliness of host Marielos

The place was spacious and the view was fantastic right out the giant living room windows. The owners live right next door so they are always available and also have a few cute dogs that were fun to play with. We felt very welcome and right at home immediately. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and there was a grocery store a block away. I also liked that the place is not located right in the middle of the touristy areas. It was just a little bit down the road, so it felt local and peaceful.

The host was very nice. The dogs on location were friendly and nice to watch playing together outside. Location is great. Felt safe and relatively comfortable. As others have stated, the bed was massive and very comfortable. Nice view.

The interior had a very musty odor throughout the stay. When the sun is out, it gets very hot inside quickly (lack of adequate ventilation because the massive windows do not open, and the sliding door and small kitchen window do not have screens). Safety issue: the shower head was electric (to heat the water) but not grounded - the circuit breaker popped on two occasions. Breakfast was described in the listing but breakfast was not offered or provided any morning. The interior needs basic updating. Nonetheless, the value for the price was excellent (and I did not get electrocuted while taking a shower). However, the overall rating did not match the premises.

Superb location just outside Santa Elena. Lovely spacious place with complete privacy. Great breakfasts, host and dogs! Nice to watch the resident hummingbird just outside the door

It was a little out of town, about 20 minutes walk, the garden was lovely with hummingbirds coming in daily. The breakfasts which were included were fabulous. The host was knowledgeable and helped us to choose places to go and gave us recommendations for places to eat. They also had a few dogs who were friendly and adorable.
