Chalet Gerbera

Jaw dropping views from the balconies. Our group stayed in the attic apartment and the 2nd floor apartment. Both were very comfortable and clean. Well supplied kitchens if you choose to cook. The host, Ruth, is very helpful. Tons of local info is available in the apartments to help you plan your time. The apartments are well cared for and very spacious. You will not want to leave. The steep walk back to town can be avoided by walking downhill to the next train station, then taking the train up to town. You’ll want a taxi to bring your luggage back to the train station.

The view from the terrace was remarkable - Jungfrau and Lauterbrunnen Valley.

I have just one qualification - the property is about 400 metres down a steep road from the station and may not be ideal for an elderly person with mobility issues. This problem can be solved if he/she is willing to pay 25 CHF for a taxi whenever s/he wishes to reach the station or the lovely village of Wengen..

Beautiful view of the mountains and fresh air. the property is clean and well kept.

Steep slope to get to the property which makes pushing luggages a little tough for the elderly.

it is quite a climb down to the place. With heavy luggage and small children you may have an issue. there is no wonder why the people in the town are so fit. lots of hills. but you are in the alps. Washer is small and a $5 fee per load.

Everything. The listing for this property does not do it justice. The views are breathtaking. The amenities perfection. The host the epitome of graciousness. We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Chalet Gerbera.

The location is superb, the facilities are excellent and perfectly clean. The view is stunning and the owner is extremely pleasant and helpful.

The Chalet is well stocked with crockery, glasses, cutlery etc. The temperature was very comfortable. The views were absolutely breathtaking. It was very clean and comfortable.

The location for us was more than a 5 to 7 minute walk and uphill going into the centre. Anyone with mobility issues would need to get a taxi which was twenty five francs a trip!

The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. Great mountain views from the balcony and the master bedroom. It was very cosy and warm so our family enjoyed the stay very much. The hosts were also responsive and helpful in terms of communication.

As we had 4 luggage to bring during our winter trip, it wasn't easy to get to the location from the train station. Going back, we had a taxi to help. Still, we wish we could have a longer stay!
