Hidden Oasis in Victoria, BC

The unit was well equipped, and the one thing I thought missing (dish towels) was quickly addressed (although what was brought over wasn't exactly what I was asking for, but it was OK).

While the basement unit itself was nice, the people living upstairs were very noisy. We arrived at around 9 PM, and the people were stomping and speaking loudly all night, past midnight. (I didn't address it as I kept thinking it was late enough that it would stop soon, but it didn't.). It sounded like there were kids and a dog. The next morning, it started again quite early (around 7 AM). Loud stomping, people groaning ("argh" very loudly), and a chime (like the chime at the end of a laundry load) kept repeating over and over again (were they gaming or something like that?). Again, I didn't address it as we were leaving soon. By the third day, it had quieted down a bit (I suspect there were just fewer people), but the footsteps and talking were still quite loud. I would rate the unit a 9, but overall gave it a 7 due to the noise.

I really love the house, it was clean and all the amenities were there literally anything you can imagine in the airbnb. I love that they took care of everything like all the basics and even some groceries were there.

I wish the pool was open so we could hop in, the reason why we booked this property was because of pool and it was quite spacious but its fine because it was raining anyways

Spacious, well finished, well equipped and close to the city. About 15 minutes taxi ride. Bus stop also very close by.

Difficult to find when we arrived as it is located at the back of a family home and is not visible. Beds small/ short for two adults.

What not to like about this place? So spacious and comfortable. We were there for 3 nights but we're sad during checkout. The whole vibe is so so good There's everything you would need. It felt like a home away from home. The highlight was the kitchen. The amenities provided were exceptional and good. They had fridge full of the basic things we needed. Even if you don't want to go out to explore victoria and just stay at this place would make you feel at peace. No disturbances. It felt like the owner set up the place not for guests but for himself, the way it was so warm and cozy. The area outside is a highlight, you feel like you're in your own backyard.

Nothing really. It was September so I couldn't use swimming pool because of weather but if you just want to dip your feet inside it is another good thing as well.

Great location, clean, super responsive host, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, washer and dryer to use was also a bonus! This was such a great place to stay.

The lock on the door didnt work when we first arrived, however, our host was quick to fix it.
