Hidden Oasis in Victoria, BC

The accommodation is in a quiet residential location about 15/20 minutes drive from Victoria harbour. The location feels really safe and is away from the noise and busyness of the city which I appreciate. Having access to the unheated pool is a bonus, especially on a hot summer day! For the location and facilities offered, it is great value for money.

Being a basement apartment, there was quite a bit of noise at times from the house above - including loud music on one occasion and foot steps, general noise from moving around and voices on one evening quite late (after 11pm). Some of the repairs in the apartment are unfinished - for example repairs around the entrance door haven't been painted over and some of the power sockets didn't work. Also, the pool bottom is cracked in places and would benefit from cosmetic repairs to tidy it up.

I love the kitchen as it was clean, the laundry is huge and works really well. We also like that there was a sofa bed at the living area.

The Power outlet has no electrical supply on both rooms. The Swimming pool was too cold.

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, but with easy access to downtown by public transport. It was clean, beds were comfortable, shower works well. The single best thing about the apartment is the swimming pool which is really quite big for a private pool.

Although the apartment has a really big kitchen stove and refrigerator, it's not very well equipped in kitchen items. Like, there are only five knives and about eight plates. This means the dishwasher is a bit useless as you end up handwashing all the time.

Comfortable and well laid out suite. Designed for longer term stay, I believe. Kitchen has been renovated for the better. Keep up the good work. Nice shower.

Windows were open upon arrival and cigarette smoke appeared to be coming into the master bedroom. Closed windows and problem solved. Recommend moving spare sandals as not sure if anyone would wear someone else’s footwear. Would’ve like to know where recyclables were to be put, other than bottles and cans.

BBQ was a great addition and outdoor furniture. Inside was comfortable and well maintained. Pool was a good addition. Some nice touches like bathrobes and slippers. Condiments in the fridge and coffee machine.

The outside area was not clean with rubbish from past guests. The settee for 4 adults was too small. No mirrors in the bedrooms. Purple side light in bedroom was useless for reading! Only 2 dining chairs. Towels were rather old. With some small adjustments this could be a great place to stay.
