Suite Galarous Island

A nice place to stay. The room is spacious, the host is helpful and responsive, amenities are nice and the breakfast is tasty. Wifi is very good for the island (which does not mean it is actually good, but in the most of the other places it would be even worse).

The room was a bit stuffy, but it is not a problem if you open a window to ventilate regularly.

Friendly staff who helped with taxi transfers, laundry and food recommendations. Breakfast was filling and they made an effort to vary it each day. We enjoyed being a bit away from the main street and it was close to some more local restaurants.

Showers was cold for most of the time, though they did offer to change our room when we mentioned this.

Overall, good value for the price and very friendly hosts on the property. Our room had all necessities, although it was very modest. Good breakfast was served every morning. Location was great - far from the noise, at the same time walking distance to pretty much everything. Very close to Charles Darwin nature center. Hosts shared good tips on where to eat/ how to organize time/ also offered us snorkeling gear free of charge. There was some WiFi on the property, which is already good for Galapagos, but it was obviously not stable and was pretty slow.

Our room was a bit outdated with old furniture, kitchen and mattresses with bugs occasionally getting into the room (well, it's Galapagos after all). However, there are also some renovated rooms in this hotel, which you should ask the host to show you when checking in. We learned about that only on our last night. They also ask to pay cash for the entire stay, which was a problem for us. No other payment methods are accepted.

Everything! It looked just like the pictures and was a lovely spacious place to stay. Hosts are superb and super helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Great location just outside of the business of the town but easy walking distance. Honestly the perfect place to stay!
