Apartamento Algalia Catedral

It was perfectly located.

The apartment was adequate. You didn't want to really be in there except for sleeping. Beds were comfy and clean and bedrooms quite nice maybe a little basic.(I'm not that fussy) The social area was very minimal a tiny sofa, chairs and table packed up to be folded out in case you ate at the apartment. The most disappointing aspect was for us at checkout, due to parking the car miles away (you can't park near the apartment). Thus we ran 10 minutes late in torrential rain and the owner continually breathed down our necks to get out due to cleaners coming (nonsense.) Seriously 4 texts and 2 phone calls by the time we were 6 minutes late!! The last irritating thing is before we checked in to the apartment the landlord insisted we pay an additional 50 euro deposit via PayPal to be refunded after checkout. He was slow paying this back although he did apologise. None of the other bookings we have had via Booking.com does this. None of the above was too bad, easy to put up with and you have to tolerate the odd bit of nonsense. Its a shame as he forwarded a ton of really useful information about where to visit and where to eat which was really nice.

Excellent location in a quiet part of town but still close to all the restaurants and sites.

Apartment was a little small for 3+ people but we managed. Beds were quite small too

Location was great however the fact that there is a night club next door that doesn't close till 440am makes it problematic. We understand that it is not the owners fault however if it needs to be considered if staying midweek over weekend

The overnight noise. The sheets were too short on the single bed which kept coming undone. Only supplied 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 days for 3 people.

Not much

No staff! Could not leave bags there before check in. Had to carry them everywhere. Most people coming through Santiago de Compestella are pilgrims backpacking. Most accommodations allow for bag drop off.

The location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk to the Cathedral.

It was very noisy. Not from the outside, but if someone enters the building or comes up the stairs, you can hear litterally what is happening.

Very central location, perfect for a family of 4

The noisy bar in the same street till 4-5am…maybe only this month when the weather is fine
