Les Cocon des Pentes de la Soie

Perfect location - surrounded by lovely independent shops. Probably the comfiest bed I’ve slept in haha! We had all the small necessities we needed.

There’s not really anything to fault!

The apartment is pleasant and sizable, well equipped, it has everything you need.

It feels very damp. Even from the entrance. The shower is very impractical, water floods the entire floor. No information about the deposit.

i didn't know the apartment was street level, and although the apartment itself was fantastic (excluding the shower water getting everywhere with the lack of curtain/proper walls), the fact that the location was basically a remodeled store front made me a bit uneasy.

location and cozy

We loved the location, not far from La Croix Rousse and with a bus stop right by the flat. The flat was warm and cosy and on the ground floor.

There was a lack of attention to details throughout. The kitchen and bathroom sinks were blocked, there was no bath mat, tea towel or hand towel. Whilst the place looked clean, we did find a comb under the bed. The freezer compartment was so ice bound you couldn’t shut it. There were no instructions left for anything (bins, equipment) and we couldn’t work out the washing machine. A few tourist brochures or a guide of the city wouldn’t go amiss. The stairs inside the flat would be a lot less scary with a hand rail. They sent us an email asking how our stay was but didn’t bother reading the reply. The phone number provided was never answered either . All these things are minor and could easily be sorted.

It was very well placed and stores were very close :)
