Had everything we needed. Good kitchen, bathroom and washing machine. Good communication from the property in the lead up to check in.

Significant mould on the wall right above the bed. Musty smell due to mould and the fact there were no windows in the property. Had to leave front door open right onto street to try and get some fresh air. Had difficulty on check in with locking the door and could not get in contact with property to resolve for quite a while.

It was quiet and well located (we don’t mind steps and walking) and decorated nicely.

The apartment is massively let down by awful smells of mould throughout the property and sewage or something in the bathroom that spreads into the rest of the accommodation. The smell was so horrible I’m glad we were only there for one night. There was only something which looked like blood on one of the walls which was concerning. The check in time is later than normal and it’s an early check out as well so not ideal for a one night stay / value for money. The check-in process and key retrieval could have been clearer. As in other reviews, the property opens directly onto the street. I don’t mind being ground floor but was a little uncomfortable with that street access and don’t think I’d have felt safe had I been travelling alone.

Lovely apartment, just what we needed! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone coming to Lyon

The acomodations and hygiene

May not be most ideal place for People with problems on the knee because the stairs and high slopes of the streets.

Location has a bus stop right outside which is good. Spacious apartment.

Given wrong access code so stuck outside in 35C heat. Then owner tells us the code has changed, but given it’s a mechanical key box, owner should have known that when sending the code to us. Once we did get in we found dirty dishes, utensils, floor, and a number of small items that could easily be fixed (eg bathroom tap handle falls off etc), but it seems maintenance is poor. Response by Owner was a standard ‘I’ll contact cleaner’ and then silence. PS. We knew hen we booked there was no AC, but think twice about no AC in 35C gear !!!

The accomodation was very comfortable with a lot of amenities and ideal for a couple. The bed was very comfortable, the mini kitchen had everything what we needed. It was easy to find and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

A little bit far from the metro station( 20 min of walking)

Great location, with lots of shops, restaurants and travel options nearby (including a Vival and a bus stop literally across the road and a pharmacy next door). You can get to most places in the city very easily from the area, whether travelling or on foot. The apartment itself is small but cosy, well designed and well furnished with modern appliances; great for a solo traveler or couple. There’s no AC but there’s a fan provided so that helps with the heat in the summer time. The apartment was very clean, though there is a sort of musty smell when you just walk in, which I assume is due to there being no windows in the apartment. It goes away, or you get used to it, quite quickly though. The owner of the flat was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay there. Speaks English as well as French, which is useful if your French is not great (like mine is)

I will just flag, as others have mentioned, that the neighbourhood where the apartment is in is up a very steep hill; just something to be mindful of if you don’t like walking a lot or have mobility issues. There is a bus stop right across the road though, so you can get dropped off right outside the apartment if you prefer.

The property was in close proximity to a small supermarket and chemist which was very convenient. The property manager was very good with communication and replied quickly.

The property was EXTREMELY mouldy and smelt horrific. There were no windows to open and you couldn’t open the front door for ventilation so it was very hot and damp inside. There was mould all around the door, glass and on the wall next to the bed which was disgusting to sleep next to and made me and the other guest feel sick. There was no tea towel, kitchen roll, hand towel, dishwashing tablets and washing machine powder included in our stay. After washing up, the only thing we could use to dry our hands was our shower towels which is just unhygienic. The property was advertised as a non-smoking accommodation but it stunk of cigarettes and mould.
