Upper Howick Hideaway

Great location, everything in walking distance. The apartment was spotless & very well equipped. An abundance of towels! Parking was very easy & so was access to the property. We received a lovely e mail from our hosts explaining everything. We are cyclists & took bikes which we stored under the steps & very safe. I would definitely book this property again. Thank you.

The property was in the right location for us and perfect for our stay

The only thing I noticed was that it could have been cleaner. The windows and windowsills were dusty. The stairs outside could do with upgrading.

The location (5 minutes walk to the High street, 3 minutes walk from bus station & supermarket). Facilities were basic (like no microwave) but very comfortable (bed, sofa etc.). Excellent tv & internet reception. Bright spacious rooms nicely put together.

Plenty of hot water & excellent pressure, but since there is no shower curtain or glass panel showering was bit of a challenge.

The property was very comfortable, decorated beautifully and had everything we needed.

It was a minor inconvenience not to have a stand up shower, however for a few days this was more than manageable.

The hosts are very friendly and communicative, the property is quirky and quiet apart from church bells, which were very welcome. The apartment has everything we needed for a long weekend and is really well located.

Fab little place. Nice touches around the apartment like games, postcards and a few sweets. The beds were comfortable, even the pull out. There were plenty of towels and bedding provided. Fab location with free street parking. We walked to alnwick castle and gardens in around ten mins with our little girl so no need to pay the parking at the venue. There are several steps up to the apartment, this is not a negative just a point for people to be aware of for people with mobility issues and those with pushchairs.

The water was a bit cold for a bath and there wasn't a proper shower.

This place is an absolute gem! Loved it. So cozy, yet spacious and also clean. Very comfortable bed and good size bathroom and kitchen. Had everything we needed. Location is in a lovely part of Alnwick. Easy walk into town and surrounds. Highly recommended!

Nothing we didn't like.

Brilliantly located for our purpose. Nicely decorated and was cozy. All the facilities we needed.

Could do with adding a shower curtain and wall hook for the shower head. We all had minor mishaps trying to use the shower head which came out of the holder when the water came on.

The location and cleanliness.

It would have been good to have a shower rail and curtain, the noise from the downstairs apartment, on the first night it went on to 04.30am in the morning. We stayed for 3 nights and although the noise was still loud on the second and third night it didn't go on all night! There isn't a microwave, however we didn't eat in so it didn't effect us too much. Lack of wardrobe space.
