Upper Howick Hideaway

This place is gorgeous, has been done to a lovely standard and is overall a lovely place to stay

The only downside, which wasn’t much bother to us but could be to some is that it’s an upstairs apartment and has some tall steps to get up to

Excellent location, and the fact that there was free parking on the street right outside the property was amazing

Great location, close to shops/castle/centre. Easy contact with owner, fast response. All was very clean. Anything we needed was in place.

Toilet seat did not fit / went askew / needs replacement. Difficult to control temperature of hot water

Ideally located, excellent value for money. We will be back again

The stairs to the front door didn't seem safe for someone with a disability The bed not comfortable

The location was perfect, only a short walk away from Alnwick gardens. The flat was spacious and comfortable and we loved all the little touches the owners put in to make the flat feel like home The furniture was comfortable, plenty places to relax and loads of storage space The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, I was able to cook a full English both mornings no issues The bath was so big and comfortable, I had no issues getting the water hot (you just run the tap slower) The flat is decorated beautifully We'd absolutely stay again, amazing value for money and we loved how spacious the flat is!

The pillows were very flat, we folded the spare quilt up and put it under the pillows which solved the issue We filled the water dispenser but it still didn't really work The neighbour downstairs is sooo noisy, they had their tv blasting till 1am on the 2nd night. Not the owners fault though but just incase anyone with kids stay just to be aware.

The location, cleanliness and nice home comfort of the place.

The whole apartment was clean , very spacious and was exactly what we were looking for. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The street is very quiet and the local pub (200 yards away) in which the landlord and regulars made us welcome. It's in a prime location and is only a couple of minutes walk into Alnwick which boasts lots of bars and places to eat. If your out shopping there's something for everyone. Worth a visit to Alnwick castle and the gardens too not forgetting Lilidorie. Would we return to this apartment... 100% without a shadow of doubt
