Winchester Apartments

Rustige plek in een mooie buitenwijk van Winchester. Goed bed en prima douche.

Bij aankomst deed de verwarming het niet. Er stond wel ern los electrisch kacheltje dat we dan maar aan hebben gedaan. Maar in de badkamer deed de handdoekradiator het dus ook niet. Lastig om je handdoeken droog te krijgen dus. Licht boven de keuken deed het niet en in de douche bleef 1 lamp de hele tijd flikkeren.. Er waren geen theedoeken om je afwas af te drogen. Ik heb 4x gebeld, maar steeds voicemail. Deze ingesproken. Geen reactie!!!!. Bericht op Booking naar de beheerder gestuurd. Geen reactie!!! Echt schandalig vind ik dat. We hebben er 5 dagen gezeten en dan niets laten horen. Hier komen wij niet terug!

Initial problem with booking due to Booking.com double booking the property was dealt with efficiently by the property owner.

Booking.com double booked the property and didn't inform the owner of my booking. However problem was well dealt with by the owner.

The shower and bathroom

Poor kitchen facilities no chopping board veg peeler or worktop. Toaster set off smoke/ heat sensor every time it was used, tried moving to other location and opening front door but still not working. No heating control for radiators. The bed was uncomfortable as it's been repaired with a sheet of ply for the base and the mattress is Poor.

Good location, convenient for where we wanted to be and handy for local shops and buses. Clean and attractive apartment.

Communication was poor - I tried to make contact three times (over four days) to get some fresh towels but only got a reply when I made contact a fourth time to say we were leaving early. Our early departure was because the police had been at the apartment next-door around 3-4 am to deal with a domestic disturbance. That's not the fault of the property but we were pretty fed up by that stage (our eighth night) to have had no reply about our damp towels, so being woken in the middle of the night was the last straw.

The property was quiet, and in a lively area. The bed was super comfy and it had everything you needed

Only thing I didn’t like was that there are windows down the side of the front door and although it’s pretty private I didn’t feel comfortable sitting watching the tv facing the windows. I think a curtain to pull across once it gets dark would have made me feel more secure

The flat was very comfortable and well equipped, with everything I needed during my time there. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet, which made it perfect for resting and relaxing — exactly what I was looking for. I would happily stay here again.
