"Perfect little seaside retreat."

The quaint feel of the attic space apartment was perfect for us. It felt cosy and was perfect for a couple. The walk into Whitby was quick and easy, with many amenities on the doorstep. The guidebook helped with some suggestions of places to visit and we enjoyed two wonderful meals: Abbey Harbour and Moon and Sixpence, as well as delicious cocktails at Cafe Montmarte. All in all, a wonderful break, where we would be happy to stay again.

For some people, the sloped ceiling might be a problem but it was all part of the fun of an attic studio stay for us.

I agree with previous reviews that said the settee wasn’t very comfortable and that it would be useful to have somewhere to hang your coats

"Appalling treatment"

Despite regular contract prior to arrival. When we arrived the keys were not in the key box. We contacted the host, who initially told us to look for the spare in a separate box (nowhere to be found). When we eventually spoke to the host we were told the apartment had been double booked and had to arrange an alternative accommodation.

Never saw it.

"Great for a weeekend break, we really enjoyed it."

Ideal location and really clean. Great communication from the owners.

Low sloped ceiling was lower than expected and struggled to walk around the bed.

"comfy but cold"

the boiler stopped working after a day and half, so no heating or hot water, the standard of cleanliness wasnt great and the was a bad smell coming from the shower room toilet when i returned. i left a day early and would like to discuss compensation

"Extremely disappointed..."

Location.. parking.. internet.. TV..

Boiler making an absolute racket all night.. we felt very unsure whether to stay or not.. didn't feel safe.. if we hadn't have had a drink we would have left that night and gone home..all cups were stained and dirty.. not been washed in a long time..

"Lovely ,relaxing , comfortable"

We have stayed at The Birds Nest apartment on several occasions and shall again . We always have a lovely comfortable ,quiet stay . Worm , modern and light.

Some small signs of wear to paintwork at skirting board near door on entering and water damage to the shower surround . Areas of lint in wardrobe and under bed
