Quirky and historic in central location

Minor gripes...need a shelf by bathroom sink (has been one in the past), and a shelf or holder in shower...bending down to get shower gel, shampoo etc isn't great. Also, only one full toilet roll provided and no kitchen roll....sufficient stocks of both are usually always provided in other places I've stayed, and this seemed a bit of petty penny pinching really. However main gripe was....the smell! The building was very musty and damp upon entering, especially on the bedclothes. Managed to open some windows and kept them open all weekend but ventilation in an old building needs to be considered. Was a real shame as did spoil the pleasure of the history.

Right in the town centre, though that did make it difficult not being able to park outside. Delightful quirky old building with everything we needed, but access up narrow winding stairs may be a problem for some.

Not being able to park outside, but I did know about this before arrival, so no fault of the owners.

Uniqueness of the property, so historic. Very spacious.

Great location and historic building. Really loved it.

Property was cold on arrival, it's an old building and was a cold day and only electric heaters, however, we didn't care so much as it was ok when warmed up. Bit of noise from the pub opposite on Friday but not Sat night.
