Charles I 16th century house

Central Location, Lovely Historic building. Easy to find.

Freezing cold on arrival. Very poor kitchen facilities. Not even a bread knife or matching glasses, cutlery all mismatched. Bathroom facilities extremely poor, shower a dribble, no decent lights (only in shower) tiny loo & sink.

Everything,would love to go back

Location was the best thing, I'm sure the quirkiness is quite fun in warmer months. The light switches are tricky on arrival.

The heating isn't up to it when its cold. The light switches are irratic (labelling would help!). There were light bulbs missing from main ceiling lights and the kitchen utensils are sparse. The lighting in the bathroom isn't enough, I had to use the torch on my phone to shave.

City centre location, short walk to 2 brilliant pubs and excellent take aways. We mostly used the kitchen rather than the living room, took our take away home and enjoyed a relaxed evening and a comfortable nights sleep.

Nearest place to park the car isn't all that close, I recommend a suitcase on wheels. Unfortunately that is Newark's parking arrangements and cannot be altered.

Perfect location, right at the centre of town.

Its quirky features and obvious age. Good size for 2 couples. Great WiFi. Right in the town centre.

Minor gripes: short of a wine glass and an unruly ironing board cover. Trade off for central location was parking but after we'd unloaded, in not the best place, it was, as stated, only 5 minutes away.
