Higher Brockwell Annexe

It’s a really lovely and well thought out annex. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet this is the place to be. I particularly loved the skylight in the room because I could watch the starts at night and clouds move during the day.

I would have loved for the raffia blind at the entrance to be a bit longer, just for privacy.

The annex was perfect for us. We were in Exmoor to walk so the location just below Dunkery Hill was ideal. We walked from the house one day. It was exceptionally clean, well equipped with a comfy bed.

Nothing. The steps would be difficult for some less mobile people but not a problem for us.

Charming location and felt both very homely and private. We had our own entrance and they left the lights on for us arriving in the evening which made it feel very warm and inviting. Before arriving, we were worried about the road quality and what the parking would be like, but the roads were better quality than expected, it wasn't quite as muddy as we expected and the parking area is nice and flat and solid and very much like a standard car park with a stony surface. They sent additional instructions on the day of check-in to help us find the place which were really helpful too. Inside the annexe, everything was beautifully clean and presented and it was a lovely place to cook, eat, sleep and relax. We had a lovely relaxing weekend away.

Lovely walks nearby

It was further than we expected from Minehead. Narrow roads which meant reversing if we met another car. The sofa was very uncomfortable and saggy. Couldn't relax on it in the evenings. A shame when everything else was so nice. It really needs replacing.

A beautiful place in peaceful surroundings. Very much 'home-from-home'. Extremely comfortable and well equipped
