Balmoral Apartment

The location, the bed was comfy.

Not having WiFi was more difficult than expected due to the phone signal being poor. Made planning our days hard as we had to go out to a cafe to get WiFi. The property could be more appealing with a little cosmetic work.

Amazing location with absolutely stunning views. Really comfy bed, good instructions to check in.

The location was excellent, as was the view. The shower was good too. Nice big towels.

We had to climb 4 flights of stairs to the apartment, which I don't recall being stated in the listing. The apartment was very disappointing. It smelt damp, there were bits all over the floor, the microwave had food on the roof inside. Upon opening the door, I just felt deflated. The pictures are accurate but have been taken from a very clever angle. The bed sits literally 20 cms off the floor, and the mattress was the worst I've ever slept on. It was very, very lumpy. The furniture felt dated. It made me think of a holiday camp chalet from the 1980s. No mobile signal, could do with supplying wi-fi considering the price.

The view

There was a strange and unpleasant smell tho the apartment. The apartment didn’t meet my expectations from the photos used to market it. There was also no wifi and no response from the host.

Apartment was modern, well equipped and in a central location in Keswick

Had to leave after one night (had booked three) because I have a problem with heights and the stairs were inaccessible for me. Apartment was on the top floor. I could have managed a few but this was a step too far (66 external steps). Struggled up and down for one night but couldn't go up again. My wife struggled up and down with a heavy suitcase and a dog. Not made clear in the listing. Stairs doesn't cover it.

Location was perfect, host sent clear and concise instructions for parking and apartment location The apartment was tidy, clean and spacious for 2 plus 1 dog and comfy enough

Sofa was a little uncomfortable for me but that’s more personal preference as my partner was comfortable

Great location right in the middle of Keswick, free parking. Fabulous views of the mountains. Cooking facilities adequate for a short stay and there were wine glasses too. There are a lot of stairs up to the apartment but well worth it for the view!

Mattress a bit soft.

The apartment as a whole was pretty perfect. The views were amazing and it was a very comfortable stay. The location couldn't have been any better in our view and we would happily stay there again.

The bed was a little too low to the floor for us personally, but it was very comfy. There were 3 wine glasses and each one was a different size. The hoover didn't pick up very well..... Would benefit more from a sweeping brush and the drain in the shower was clogged and very slow draining, was able to loosen the clog ourselves but still had to be careful as to not be in for more than five mins or it would over spill the shower base

Perfect location and private parking.

6 flights of stairs, listed a hairdryer and there wasn't one, had to dry long hair over radiator.

Great location, very close to everything Keswick has to offer. Great and efficient customer service.

Firstly it was up 6 flights of stairs outside - this was not on the detailed description! It was outside in the rain so the stairs were wet and slippery. Second of all, it was completely UNSAFE to sleep here as there was an awful amount of mould in the bedroom! It is a safety hazard to someone’s health to stay here. The bedroom wall, skirting boards and curtains were full of mould it was completely unacceptable. We both have asthma and have a newborn baby and were horrified. When reporting this though, the company were also horrified and had great customer service - they apologised and moved us to a flat down the street which was much nicer.
