Picardy Place Apartment

Host Giovanna was extremely responsive to messages and keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The beds and lounge seating were very comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment but it would definitely have been a comfortable environment to do so.

Guests might want to use earplugs if they are sensitive to traffic noise (pretty quiet overnight though). The sink in the second bathroom is very small but it's wonderful to have two bathrooms so a minor point.

The location was perfect, very central, close to both trams and the buses, plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from

We didn't like climbing the 66 stairs to the third floor after a long day sight seeing!

Beautiful apartment with all the necessary amenities. Good location, 15 minutes walking to Royal Mile, with the tram station right outside that goes all the way to/from the airport. Restaurants, bars, and mini grocer very near to property. The only problem is that most food stopped being served by 8pm.

There were very few negatives. First, the apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator, so be prepared to climb stairs. The second was that one of the bathroom showers was slow draining due to the "style of plumbing" of the building (owner's husband came to fix next day). Last, some of the beds were not that comfy where springs could be felt.

No elevator, no parking space.

It is in very good condition, fully equipped kitchen with oven and complete utensils for 10 of us (even more) plus all kind of drinking glasses. Our host Giovanna was extremely helpful despite our much delayed arrival passed 11pm to ensure we are safely & comfortably accommodated.

Due to us traveling from Malaysia, with a one too many luggage, heaving them up to 3 floor is quite an exercise.

Big large very clean apartment, perfect for two families, much space and beautiful!

Great central location for Edinburgh and all the sights. Hosts were lovely, very helpful and responsive. Apartment was spotless, well equipped and spacious.

There is nothing to criticise about the hosts or apartment.
