Heart of Hastings Historic Old Town

Location is good, in the old town. Price of property cheap compared to others nearby. Spacious bedrooms

Overall the place needs TLC. For example, beds and sofa uncomfortable. Side of bed nailed together with extra wood, chair in living room has a split back. Some of the lights not working in the living room. Threat of extra charge if left after 10am not the best welcome as you walk into the property. Property generally seems to be uncared for.

Great location in the old town, very convenient for access to the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Nice size for a group of 4.

Could do better with cleaning

Just location but there is a problem with a parking, no parking space just 3minutes walkaway.

Everything, from cleanless to communication with managment of property. Dirtyness of carpets and accesories. Wall are totally wet, they have some problem with roof isolation or something like that. There is a lot of humidity and spaces over window is terrible wet. Bedroom smells - causing humidity and wetwalls. Interior doors are not usable, they missed doorhandles and locks or didn´t sliding. Window in bedroom is impossible to open or close. After check-in at 9.00pm was in flat just 15°C, we must find a boiler and start it to make an warmer accomodation. We were there with child. Beds are very uncomfortable, couch in living room has overseated upholstery. Bedding are sodden with smell of wet. From edge of bed looking to us someone else sock. Result of inconsequently cleaning. Absolutely terrible experience. Property needs investments in facilities and overall state.

Crystal was very pleasant, location was very good, bedrooms were big, my l sister loved it

Some of the walls were dirty, needs painting, large rug on floor a trip hazard, too many cables everywhere, lounge very cramped, back bedroom should be lounge and sofa bed extremely uncomfortable. Location of flat not wheelchair friendly for footpath

It was comfortable and decent shower and kitchen but that’s about it

There is clearly been a leak from upstairs or some sort of issue as there are damp marks everywhere. All brown marks on the ceilings and the place smells musty we had to wash all our clothes when we got home which wasn’t ideal. I did reach out to the property owners with no response! The sofa was also stained which they tried to hide with blankets. Also there is NO privacy you have to keep the curtains drawn constantly as people can see right in the back bedroom there’s stairs outside that lead to the apartments upstairs so they can see right in. It’s not ideal the only place there was any privacy was the kitchen!

Location is exceptional

The place has honestly got potential, the host seemed kind and solved some of our problems in a timely manner. Location is good, WiFi was fast.

Unfortunately it just didn’t meet our expectations whatsoever. The whole place seems damp, radiators didn’t work for the entirety of our stay ( 9 days, in dec/ jan! ) Bad painting on the walls, no lock on the bathroom door, filthy carpet and sofa, the sofa simply can’t be counted as a bed as it doesn’t expand and is extremely uncomfortable/ dirty. Really bad smell in the flat at all times, it looks much much better in the pictures on booking.com. Overall not terrible value for money but definitely not great and won’t come back unless massive improvements take place.
