The Byre (Unusual and Different).

Everything about the trip exceeded expectations. Location , facilities and especially the host made the trip so enjoyable.

The location is amazing, very private and quiet. The perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. The hosts, Linn and Stuart are the most friendly, welcoming couple who will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable a possible. There were fresh scones, butter, jam, milk, tea & coffee and a well stacked stove. They have two very friendly dogs who love to welcome the guests also.

There was absolutely nothing about The Byre that I didn't like. I loved the place and will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it.

Linn and Stewart were so warm and welcoming. We couldn't ask for better hosts. Excellent response to any messages. The cottage is very cosy and had everything we needed. Smart tv was great. The most comfortable bed. There were beautiful little touches like fresh flowers in every room from the garden. Something I've never had when away, it was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved all the little details in this place — the thoughtful design made it feel so cozy and beautiful. Linn and Stewart were incredibly kind and it was such a pleasure chatting with them. I’m really sad we arrived late and didn’t get to fully enjoy our stay, but I’m already dreaming of coming back again. Also, I’m totally obsessed with the bathroom — I couldn’t resist treating myself to a relaxing bath. Highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone who appreciates comfort and charm!

This was our second visit to the Byre and it was just as amazing as the first time! Cosy, spotless and comfortable… perfect getaway to recharge. Stewart and Linn amazing hosts as always ❤️

They can't control the weather

Helpful hosts on site. Quiet location. Quirky, characterful property.

The absence of a desk (or any table that could serve as one) was a little irritating - especially as there would be plenty of space for one if the second sofa (unnecessary in a one-bedroom flat) were removed - although for a short stay when out most of the time not a major problem. The property admits limited daylight so would not be suitable for anyone doing daytime work on the premises in any event.
