finding the keysafe in the dark at night time quite a challenge when u don’t know what yr doing

Good Location

One of the bedrooms had a bad smell, managed to locate the small which was a old, half eaten kebab down behind the bed. When investigating the smell we then found a empty used condom pack under the bed, some soiled ladies knickers, an empty electronic cigarette packet. The bathroom and bath was full of Dark long hairs, the bath panel was full of hairs and grubby. The finds left a sour taste in our mouths and tarnished our stay as we felt uncomfortable and worried if these things had been found what else had happened in the property that we didn’t find and whether the facilities were clean as in linen and towels. I contacted the property on Tuesday and still haven’t had a reply. I mentioned these things to the housekeeping team and still haven’t had a reply. I paid a large sum for this apartment and also a £250 deposit and a £30 cleaning fee which in my honest opinion hasn’t even been cleaned, never mind vacuumed at the very least as under the beds were atrocious.

The location was convenient. The shower worked. The car park was secure.

The photos uploaded on the website are mostly not of the apartment we rented. The door on a kitchen unit was falling off. The mixer tap in the bathroom did not have a handle. The bathroom tiles were very cracked. The wooden paintwork throughout was peeling. The handle on one of the windows in the living room was missing. The whole place smelled disgustingly of cigarette smoke despite being advertised as non-smoking. There was debris from previous visitors under the bed. The carpets were very stained throughout and not very clean. The pillows and duvet were discoloured and one had a bloodstain on it. The sofas were old and hard and there were many cigarette holes in them. It was so noisy that on the Friday night we were kept awake until 3.45am. It is all very well saying city centre but the place needs sound proofing. There was price inflation due to the Commonwealth Games but we moved to a much better place for less than the nightly cost on our third night because it was intolerable.
