Twelve Popeshead -2 Bed City Apartment wParking

Good location for visiting York, although being in the centre of York it was quiet in the room. The property was spacious and well equipped and place was clean and seemed very secure.

The car parking was a bit of a faff having to pay for parking when collecting key & parking pass and then again when dropping key and pass off again, ok once we were sorted, after paying a £250 deposit I would have expected all the damaged items to have been replaced. (broken lamp & mirror in the bedroom, over mirror bulbs not working in the bathroom)

The appartment was very interesting . Nicely kept .

Well located and had everything we needed

The building access code had been changed the day we arrived and we were not told. Luckily one of the other residents rescued us.

Beds were clean and comfortable. Towels were nice and fluffy and white. Not happy with the kitchen facilities. Went to use tray that was rusty, dirty cutlery in the dishwasher and in the drawer lipstick on the Glass saucepans that could be replaced and some chips on some of the plates and cups I like the location because we thought we weren't going to have a car but getting the car park ticket and the keys with luggage was a bit of a struggle. Thank goodness it wasn't raining. The shower in the main bedroom needs a dam good clean it had black mould in it. I think the owners should actually go and check the place out to see that the cleaners are doing the job they are paying in for.

The owners need to go and check out the cleaning and equipment that they've got in the kitchen cupboards. I feel it should be updated

It was so-so. Nothing great for the cost. The staff answer the calls but don't know how to help much with things like the Internet not connecting.

The location is sketchy and down a dirty alley. It is hard to get in the three doors before you finally get in the apartment. The dryer is a nightmare and the TINY shower was gross with black mold in the caulk. The beds are awful. We won't stay there again. We are not picky, but other places are better. PS. The taxi drivers cannot get close to drop you off at the location. Dishes are dirty and only one spoon

The key access information was incorrect and delayed our access after a long journey. On speaking to Isabelle she confirmed that the access codes had all be changed and we had been sent the out of date details. Very disappointing after hours of travel. The main bathroom was also dirty around the toilet on the floor. We cleaned it ourselves.

checking in procedure wasn’t as smooth as we would have liked. You have to pay to park your car for a short while, whilst you go to the property to get the keys and pass for the car park. We were given the wrong code so had trouble with the key boxes. We did get through to the agent and it was all sorted but it’s a bit of a faff. There were a couple of issues with the property- the blinds do jut keep out the light in the morning, several of the lights don’t work and you can only use one shower at a time otherwise the water cuts off in one of the showers. Also be careful if you have a bath - the hot water will run out. Otherwise it’s clean , beds comfy, well located and the apartment has everything you need.

Keys easy to find but I struggled to find the entrance to the building so had to phone host who was very helpful. Apartment comfy and we enjoyed our couple of night there. Location as central as could be which we enjoyed.

Bit of a faff to get the keys as can't park near the apartment. Had to leave husband poised in the car whilst me and son went to get keys and car park permit then son went back to husband with car park permit and I tried to get into apartment whilst they found the car park. Appreciated the free parking though. Some light bulbs need replacing in the apartment particularly the hall and under kitchen cupboards.
